In Europe, L6e and L7e vehicles (e.g. new golf cart) must have an EC Certificate of Conformity (COC or a registration. If you have a COC or an existing registration of the electric vehicle, you can register the vehicle anywhere in Europe. Every member of the European Union is required to accept the vehicles with the appropriate accompanying registration and or COC. In Spain and the Netherlands, you always have to take your vehicle to the inspection. There are costs involved.
Existing golf cart vehicles that were registered are happy to continue driving.
